２０２４年２月、アメリカのミズーリ州にある動物保護施設『KC Pet Project』にジャクソンくんという名の犬が預けられました。

ジャクソンくんの飼い主、トロイさんがやむを得ない事情でしばらく一緒に暮らせなくなったため、新しい里親を探す必要が生じたのです。

その後、ジャクソンくんは複数の里親に引き取られたもののうまくいかず、７回もシェルターに返されてしまいました。

１６か月ぶりに、愛犬と再会

２０２５年６月、トロイさんが元の暮らしを再開できるようになった頃、『KC Pet Project』に１匹の野良犬が保護されました。

その野良犬とは…なんとジャクソンくんだったのです！

こうしてトロイさんは、１６か月ぶりに愛犬と再会し、再び家族として一緒に暮らすことになりました。
